High Octane

Today it is time for some High Octane by Paul Overy from 1993

This Car-racing Game can be played by 1 or 2 players, in a rather tiny split-screen mode, Your Car is also equipped with missiles what you can fire against your opponent

Visually the Games Graphics are pretty decent, and the screen has a lot going on, such as Top Left and Top Right show the Players view, Central to to them, are your Gas/Fuel Levels, and Bottom Left/Right show your Cars Damage Levels, and in the middle of those is your Map display and Lap counters

The maps are pretty decently sized, and have grass, water, and even sand dunes dotted around, The only thing I would say is while the Gameplay itself is good, it is really let down by the small viewing area for each player
