The Commercial Game of the Month has to be Manic Miner by Stephen McMaster in 1990

The object of Manic Miner is to collect enough keys to open up that Golden Exit (well its not Golden as such, But it sounded better -ed) which will only open up once all keys have been collected, then your task is getting there without being killed from falling too far or hitting an enemy on the way there

Some pretty decent levels are included, such as The Cold Room (Level 2) which has 2 penguins, and what could be described as stairs which you can slowly float downwards towards the exit, that is if you pick up all the keys on the base of the level first, otherwise you have to go back to collect those

The Menagerie (Level 3) is also quite difficult, where timing is everything, and the birds what are on that level, move quite quickly, and timing the jumps on the top level is essential to win this level, as a wrong move, will cost you a life

Eugenes Lair (Level 5) which Eugene moves up and down over the Exit portal, so collecting the last key has to be timed correctly, when he is high up enough, so you can get into the Exit before he comes down and blocks it, preventing your escape and costing you a life

A difficult level for me was Miner Willy meets the Kong Beast (Level 8) where you need to avoid Barrels rolling and flick switches to open gates and so on, to be fair I cannot ever say I have got past this one
