It is time for some Super Skoda Challenge from 1991, by Mike Dodd, Written in AMOS
This top-down racer has you racing around the track, and can be played by between 2 to 4 players, which are coloured Red, Green, Blue and Yellow respectively
The Aim of the Game is to Shoot your opponents, while avoding the many obsticles around the track, In the Game there are 10 maps to complete, while they are small, giving you ample opportunity to Gun down your mates driving around the tracks
There are various pickups along the way, including a Shield which will protect you from being Shot for a while, to one which can kill you instantly, so watch out for that one heh! – There is also a Level Editor which will allow you to create some tracks too!
The Tracks are basically detailed, no proper scenery for example, just miles and miles of Grass and Roads here, and have road markings on them in the UK-style (ie. Give Ways on Left etc)
The Graphics here are pretty poor, and there is no proper Title Screen, only a Basic “AMOS” type affair, plus the fact you need 4 human players
On closing, in my humble opinion, The word “Super” should not be in its Title, The word “Skoda” is okay, as this basically tells you how the Game plays, ie. not well, It also should have had Computer Opponents, which may have made it a lot more playable than it currently is, in reality this Game is sadly one which should live on the scrap heap of “The Worst PD Amiga Games” for eternity
