This game was shareware when first released, so therefore I suppose it
still is, but no donation is necessary -- but anything you feel the game is
worth would surely be appreciated!!
I won't promise anything if you do send $$$, but if I decide to upgrade
the game and fix a few bugs, I'll contact you and inform you that a
"new-improved" version is available. This game has been out for about 2
years, and we have heard very few problems...

PACMAN87 was/is written entirely in Lattice C 3.10.

                              PacMan 87

                            Instructions

1- Format a disk floppy and name it "PM".
(The game MUST be run off a a disk named PM. I suppose all you
hard drive users could get away with a judicious ASSIGN or two.
I know, I know... but we were young and hard drives weren't available
     then!)

2- If the you have the files in the "ZOO" format, copy PM87.zoo to your
disk named PM, and unzoo the files with the following command:

    zoo x// pm87.zoo

If not, copy the files into the directories as shown below. In either
case, you should end up with the following directory structure:

    Animations
      etraps.frames ftrap.frames
      ktraps.frames ttrap.frames
    Sounds
      die1 gst
      trav
    Levels
      level1.dat level2.dat
      level3.dat level4.dat
      level5.dat
  PacMan87 topten
  PacMan87.Doc

3- Pacman 87 is a CLI-only game. This means it can only be run from the
     CLI by typing:

     run PM:Pacman87

                          Game Features:

1- PacMan 87 was designed to be played just like the original game. There
are some MAJOR differences though such as Traps (Fire pits, Stabbing
Knives, Electric Arcs and Flame Throwers) that must be avoided!

2- PacMan 87 has 3 different levels of difficulty: 1- Easy, 2- Medium,
    and 3- Hard.

3- The sounds can be toggled on or off.

4- The Game keeps track of the Top Ten scorers and automatically sorts and
prompts for you to input your initials thru joystick movements.

5- All of the features are accessed thru Pull Down Menus.

6- The object of the game? Survive! The more points you get the harder this
    is.

7- There are 5 levels to play and you can go back and forth to and from
these levels via the cycling stairways. You'll figure it out!

8- ALL pills must be eaten on ALL levels before you start over with full
    boards.

9- You do not have to eat all the pills on one level before proceeding to
    another level.

10- The different levels are different colors and you MUST remember where
you are at as well as which levels have pills remaining on them.

11- Pause and Play is selected thru the Fire Button or PAUSE/PLAY
gadgets at the bottom of the screen.

12- Place your joystick in port #2.

13- To quit the program select the QUIT gadget at the bottom of the screen.

14- Although this program was set up for a multitasking environment it is
suggested that you do not do this OR have any other programs running
that require sounds or sprites (Other than the pointer). For the
animation sequences to react properly and smoothly this is required.
If you do multitask this program it will sleep quietly as well as
automatically pause when the background gadget is selected.
